Up to 64 Year 11 students from across the Diocese of Lismore will reach out to those in need when they spend a long weekend in Brisbane working on a range of social justice programs in this year’s Street Retreat.

Prepare to be challenged physically, emotionally and spiritually as you give back to the community through a range of ministry placements working within disability, aged care, rehabilitation and social activism.

Students have found the experience incredibly rewarding and life changing and have returned to their schools with a passion and greater sense of the call of Jesus Christ to serve the poor and disadvantaged.

You’ll also gain a deeper awareness of the presence of God in your own and others’ lives.

Past students have already committed to follow up social justice activity in their own parish and school communities through things such as service at local soup kitchens and fund raising raffles for the needy.
